Blantyre Railway Station. The housing scheme is what was the start of ‘The Village’ as locals referred to it. The road going across the railway line is Station Road. This was the L.M.S.R. Railway lines, the main railway line for carrying the coal into Glasgow from the surrounding coal mines.
