Knights of St. Columba

Fire at the Knights of St. Columba Building

The three-story tenement is the Knights of St. Columba Building on Glasgow Road with McNally’s chip shop on gable end. Prior to being the Knights of St. Columbia, the building was the Post Office.

This is a new never before seen photo sent in by Anthony Smith and restored by George Park.

The year is unknown but probably in the late 70s, perhaps someone can let us know. The driveway to the right was to Wm. McSeveney’s Coach builders and the two pillars still stand today. The Building was demolished and a single-story building built on the site, which is now the Sun House Chinese Take-away.
