Robert Forrest
Forrest – Park
Robert Forrest, when he was only 19, working a horse at Craigend Pit, off the Whistleberry Road, in 1920.
Hi Bill, I am still recovering from learning just how small the world is. From the age of approx 10 to 17 Mum and Dad took me, Robert, and Shirley to Blantyre to stay for The Arbroath Summer fair at 121 Fernslea Avenue with our Uncle Chic, Aunt Lily, and cousins John and Lillian. Prior to that we visited my Gran and Grandad at Park Crescent. The photograph attached shows my Grandad, Robert Forrest, when he was only 19, working a horse at Craigend Pit, off the Whistleberry Road, in 1920.
All photos and comments in this Album supplied by May Forrest and her son George Park from Arbroath.
