School Run Mum

School Run Mum
Monday morning, half past eight
The chaos does begin
School run mum is ready
To get her children in
The ones who drive the Astras
Or even four by fours
Do battle every morning
To park at the school doors
Parking on the zig zags
Double yellow lines
It doesn’t really matter
The weans are in on time.
They drive as if the end is nigh
With stress etched on their face
School run mum is speeding
To get her parking place
You see her every morning
Then at 3 o’clock
To pick up all the kids
Who don’t know how to walk.
