The funeral of Charles Stuart, 12th Lord Blantyre took place yesterday afternoon in Bolton Churchyard, Haddingtonshire, where many of his ancestors have been laid to rest. |

LARGE BEQUEST TO MRS. WILLIAM GLADSTONE.
The trust disposition and settlement (with codicils) of the late Charles Stuart, 12th, Lord Blantyre have been recorded in the books of Council and Session. |

A deed of revocation and supplementary directions, dated May 30th, 1895, he bequeaths his lands and estates in the counties of Haddington, Berwick, Lanark, Renfrew, and Dumbarton, and the whole residue of his estate, heritable and movable of every kind to his grandson, William Arthur Baird, younger son of Sir David Baird. By codicil dated February, 1889 he bequeaths Captain David Baird. Newbyth (Black Watch) Regiment, a legacy of £10,000. (£1,041,726 in today’s value.) |
